Official information requests Official information requests

Under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act (LGOIMA), Auckland Transport (AT) is required to provide reasonable assistance to anyone who makes an official request for information.

Official information requests are governed by the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act (LGOIMA) 1987. Under this Act, all of Auckland Transport’s work is considered public information and must be open and freely available to the public.

Furthermore, as a local authority under the Public Records Act 2005 (PRA), all AT staff are required to create and maintain full and accurate records of business activities, which can then be requested via an official request for information under the LGOIMA.

Most of this information is already available on the AT website. If you require a large amount of information, or if the information you are seeking is not readily available, we will work with you and respond to your request as best as we can.
