Auckland Transport released a new set of vehicle crossing standards on 15 June 2022 which apply to all of Auckland Council/Auckland Transport area and supersede the old legacy council standards that have been in use.

The engineering standards relate to the physical construction of vehicle crossings, including the thickness and strength of concrete required, integration of the footpath, and maximum gradients.
